About Us

The Katatonics are a three piece surf rock band from Bloomington, Indiana. Formed in 2013 they've been performing local  venues and touring when possible. Several EPs have been released since their debut, including a 7" Swamp Terror, released on vinyl in 2017.  In 2023, Katatonics released their self-titled album which received the  Punk Rock Night of Indianapolis award for best local release. The latest single EP release "Panther in the Sky" has been released  independently, with Sam Pierce of the Swing Rays, on drums, Chris Hack on guitar, and Mike Morgan on Bass. The Katatonics are currently working on a new full length LP set for a  2026 release so definitely stay tuned.
